MEET THE FOUNDER
Dr. Latoya Etheridge
Dr. Etheridge is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with experience across all spectrums of family medicine. Born and raised in Massachusetts, she completed her medical training at Boston University School of Medicine and her residency at Tufts University. Dr. Etheridge chose family medicine so she could manage a wide array of health issues while also recognizing the complex dynamics that affect the entire family.
Dr. Etheridge has over 15 years of clinical experience in primary care and more than 10 years in urgent care. She also has a special interest in women's health and practiced obstetrics while living in Boston, where she enjoyed delivering babies and caring for newborns both in and out of the hospital.
Anyone who has met Dr. Etheridge knows she is passionate about educating patients about their medical problems and organizing their care, so that decisions are well-informed and manageable. She understands that medical problems can be overwhelming, and one of her goals is to break down complex issues so patients can understand their care and actively participate. She was drawn to Direct Primary Care because it gives her time to truly get to know her patients and focus on their needs. Dr. Etheridge understands that a patient's health journey isn't always linear, and Direct Primary Care gives her the time to understand where patients are on their path, and help get them to where they want to be.
Dr. Etheridge is excited that opening New Path Family Medicine allows her to spend more time with both her patients and her family. When she's not in the office, she enjoys Zumba, listening to live music, and taking road trips with her husband and 3 children.

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a healthcare model that does not accept health insurance by design. You pay a low monthly membership that covers unlimited visits, direct communication with your doctor, and access to many in-office services including wholesale medications and labs at discounted prices. You'll never get a surprise bill or copay and you can still use your insurance for services outside of the office. Because there's no insurance company between us, I'm able to spend more time with you and less time dealing with insurance company red tape.

Yes. New Path Family Medicine is membership-based and does not bill any services through insurance. However, if you have insurance, it can still be used for services outside our office, including prescriptions, imaging, hospital care, emergency room visits, and specialty care. If you don’t have insurance, those services will be self-pay, and we will help you find the most cost-effective options whenever possible.
-
New Path can cover the majority of your healthcare needs. However, we recommend that you maintain health insurance for specialty care, surgeries, and unexpected injuries or hospitalizations. You can also use insurance for services like imaging, and outside labs and medications.
